Waiting to Exhale!

I know so many of you are waiting to get into the building. I really understand. Just as an update we are waiting for the final OK from the state fire Marshall. The floors are being waxed and the movers are putting your things in your classrooms. Sincerely, all you will need to do it to put things away. You have so much storage you'll be amazed! Our goal is to get you in there next Monday. The good news will be that you should not have to come into the building in waves as things should be pretty clean and ready to go. I so wish that I could be sitting in my office talking with you but as for now I'll let my breath out and wait to hear word.

Enjoy the last days of summer. You certainly deserve it!

Diversity Action Plan

Kim, for my grad class, I am creating a diversity plan about enhancing communication and relationships with our growing Hispanic population. Can I get a block of time one of those first couple days to present some things? I will have more info about it as it develops and shapes more, but maybe 20 or so?

Jealous

I read the post about you enjoying the nice weather, and here I am, on my third hour of homework for grad school classes. It will all be worth it. So much self-exploration in these first three weeks. It will be one amazing journey.....and to celebrate? I'll sit and enjoy the weather!

Innagural post

Here I am sitting on my couch on a cloudy evening in June. I'm feeling such excitement because this will be a tremendous tool for all of you to use. I'm excited for our future and know that with our collective effort we will be able to make a tremendous difference.

I will post pictures tomorrow of our new school and it's progress. How fabulous!
